Role details

The Physiotherapy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Physiotherapist (North Queensland Persistent Pain Management Service) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

Deliver high level clinical services as part of a North Queensland wide multi-disciplinary team providing assessment, treatment and education for people with persistent pain. The position also acts as a resource person in pain management for staff, service managers and health care consumers of Mackay Health Service District.

About the Team

Our Physiotherapy Service delivers care to patients, both adults and children, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Physiotherapists aim to restore a person's function, maximising their mobility and health and minimising their dysfunction. Treatment is tailored to each individual and is based on the patient's needs.

About our Hospital and Health Service

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
