Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has bed base of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

What you'll be doing

Selection Criteria:

  1. A Registered Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restriction on practice.
  2. Demonstrated effective clinical drug knowledge and competence in its application to achieve safe and efficient quality care.
  3. Demonstrated understanding of the patient medication review process.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with limited supervision to meet team objectives.
  5. Proven organisation skills and a capacity to manage a complex workload.
  6. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and other stakeholder to improve patient care and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  7. Demonstrated skills and experience in problem solving displaying judgement, initiative and independence.
  8. Current continued professional development plan relevant to hospital pharmacy and a commitment to participate in on-going education.
