Pharmacy Department are looking for a Senior Pharmacy Assistant (Cancer Services -Trials) to join their team. The successful candidate will contribute to patient care by providing senior assistant support to Pharmacists in the delivery of an efficient and effective medicines management service in cancer services and the Sterile Production Unit and Clinical Trials in accordance with current legislation and Australian pharmacy and medicines professional standards and guidelines.

About the Role

  • Conduct clinical trial management under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
  • Lead quality improvement activities including reviewing and updating work instructions.
  • Maintain stock of medicines including high-cost drugs, equipment and consumables utilised in production units.
  • Assist with medication order and prescription preparation including iPharmacy dispensing and use of cancer care and other compounding electronic systems (e.g. CHARM®).
  • Support the safe and effective operation of electronic medication management systems including automated dispensing systems.
