About the Roles:

The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is a leading provider of Healthcare Services across multiple healthcare facilities including Flinders Medical Centre and Noarlunga Health Services. Our Dietetic Service is integral in our aim to optimise healthcare outcomes for patients in our community.

SALHN have opportunities available for professional AHP1 and AHP2 Dietetic to join our highly diverse and experienced team. Details of what the roles include:

  • Providing assessment and treatment of acute adult inpatients and outpatients.
  • The ability to rotate though a series of clinical services with an opportunity to develop a variety of clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Liaising with medical, nursing, allied health and food service staff to ensure nutritional care plans are appropriately implemented.
  • Being responsible for the nutrition/dietetic counselling on an individual or group basis of inpatients, outpatients and other relevant groups.

Successful applicants will receive a thorough induction and orientation, and regular on-going clinical supervision.

About you:

  • Capacity to implement service improvement practices.
  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives full eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).
  • Demonstrated competency in Dietetic assessment and treatment techniques.
  • Demonstrated competency in the clinical management of a broad range of conditions.
  • Ability to initiate and lead change that results in improved outcomes and facilitates continuous quality improvement.
