About the role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Pharmacist - Quality Use of Medicinesto lead the organisation, management, and operation of our designated pharmacy area. In this role, you will deliver a comprehensive, high-level range of pharmacy services by exercising independent and autonomous judgement in providing medicines information and therapeutic advice to hospital patients, as well as medical, nursing, and other health professionals. You will ensure all services are delivered in strict adherence to hospital and divisional policies, procedures, and professional standards.
You will be instrumental in optimising patient outcomes by implementing strategic initiatives that promote the highest quality use of pharmaceuticals in a safe and cost-effective manner. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you will leverage your expertise to streamline operations, enhance service delivery, and contribute to an environment where patient care is consistently prioritised. About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to provide expert leadership and support within a hospital pharmacy setting. You will bring strong clinical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to service improvement, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals in a complex healthcare environment.
- Qualifications & technical expertise – Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and registered (or eligible for registration) with the Pharmacy Board of Australia, with extensive hospital pharmacy experience.
- Leadership & service development – Proven ability to lead, supervise, and train staff while driving improvements in pharmacy services and patient care.
- Strong communication & problem-solving skills – Ability to effectively engage with a broad range of healthcare professionals, undertake research, and analyse data to inform decision-making.
- Organisational & multidisciplinary collaboration – Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
