What you'll be doing
The purpose of the position is to provide specialised neurological Occupational Therapy services as part of an acute, multidisciplinary team.
The position has responsibility for planning, co-ordinating and implementing evidence based practice in addition to providing clinical expertise and specialised knowledge, with specific occupational therapy assessment and treatment skills in neurology.
The position has line responsibility for the guidance of Level 1/2 staff members using specialised occupational therapist skills in acute neurology. The position provides a Monday to Friday service.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Must hold registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Evidence of advanced occupational therapy expertise and clinical reasoning skills within the clinical area of neurology.
- Experience providing advice, support or supervision to occupational therapy colleagues and students, primarily in the clinical area of neurology.
