The Repat Neuro-Behavioural Unit (RNBU) will provide high quality, compassionate, relationship-centred care to consumers living with dementia who experience associated behavioural and psychological symptoms at very severe to extreme levels. To find out more about the service click here.

The Enrolled Nurse will report to the Nurse Unit Manager/ Associate Nurse Unit Manager and the Nurse Consultant and provide support to the Registered Nurse/Midwifes in the provision of person-centred care consistent with regulatory and statutory requirements.

About the role:

As an Enrolled Nurse you must be able to meet the requirements of a 24/7 rotating roster, duties for the role may include:

  • Under the direction of a registered nurse make decisions and take initiative to plan and complete nursing care tasks within their scope of practice
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills in rehabilitation assessment, care and routine procedures for rehabilitation nursing practices
  • Provide assistance to other members of the health care team in provision of care to individuals/groups

About you:

  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Registered or eligible for registration as an enrolled nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
