About us:
Capricornia Offender Health Service (COHS) is responsible for the delivery of health service to prisoners in the Capricornia Correctional Centre (CCC), Capricornia Correctional Farm (CCF) and prisoner workcamps. COHS provides a health service to a fluctuating population of approximately 1028 male prisoners within CCC and CCF. The needs of this client group vary widely and COHS requires a flexible system that responds to urgent/non-urgent, complex, planned chronic care and preventative health needs.
Prisoners can access appropriate primary care and emergency care equivalent to standard of that of the general community. COHS currently operates from a primary health care model for service delivery with a multidisciplinary team from the time the prisoner enters the system, through transfers to other facilities, and to their release into the community.
About the role:
A Registered Nurse (RN) leads and delivers person-centred care within a dynamic healthcare environment, utilising professional judgment, coordinating care, and contributing to education, research, and quality, specifically focusing on prisoner health, including opioid dependence treatment, within a multidisciplinary team.
About you:
- Must hold a current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Bachelor of Nursing qualification
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $121,106 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.a.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
