Temporary full-time role available for 6 months.

Working with us

  • Competitive remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $578,751 p.a. comprising:
  • Base salary ranges between $182,106 and $266,677 p.a. (L13-L27).
  • 5 weeks annual leave.
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation.
  • Attraction and retention incentive allowance of up to 50% base annual salary.
  • Regional and rural attraction allowance of 15% base annual salary.

About the role

As the Director of Medical Services, you will have a particular focus on the leadership, administration and management of remote facility medical models of care including but not limited to College accreditation, recruitment and retention of rural generalist trainees, and is the clinical lead for implementation of Queensland Health funded medical workforce initiatives.

Requirements

  • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
  • Hold current general and specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • As a STP-IRTP funded position the applicant must be a current RACMA Candidate or have applied for Candidacy for the RACMA Fellowship Training Program (FTP).
  • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • A period of probation may apply.
