Join the Manning Base Hospital Occupational Therapy Department, located in the beautiful Lower Mid North Coast Sector (LMNCS). This specialist role supports patients with an oncology diagnosis, working closely with the Cancer Services Team in a collaborative, small-team environment. About the role
The position will provide leave relief to the Palliative Care Occupational Therapist (OT) positions as required.
As a Level 3 Cancer Services OT, you will:
- Provide community-based and outpatient occupational therapy services to patients living with an oncology diagnosis.
- Work collaboratively with Oncologists, Haematologists, Nursing and Allied Health teams, as well as community organisations like The Cancer Council and volunteer-led groups.
- Facilitate InForm Manning: A Cancer, Exercise and Wellbeing program.
- Support individuals in achieving quality of life through goal setting and meaningful engagement in activities, addressing physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Travel within the Lower Mid North Coast Sector to deliver services where needed.
- Receive ongoing clinical supervision, education, and training opportunities to support your development.
You will have strong time management and communication skills and be able to work compassionately, independently, and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
About you
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist who is:
- Experienced in oncology, palliative care, or community-based therapy.
- Committed to best-practice patient care and holistic therapy approaches.
- Able to work effectively both autonomously and in a team.
- Willing to travel within the sector to provide services.
Requirements
- Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and AHPRA registration.
- Demonstrated experience in cancer services, palliative care, or related fields.
- Current driver’s licence and ability to travel as required.
