Enjoy the Far North lifestyle while working with Access Services (Acute Care Team and Centralised Intake Service) as a Clinical Nurse. In this role you will be required to deliver evidence-based clinical services, including tele-triage, tele-health assessment, assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention and evaluation, to consumers of the Cairns and Hinterland Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.

About your role:
- Provide support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role modelling and promote cooperation and collaborative teamwork.
- Maintain the currency and high quality of clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise by actively contributing to and participating in professional development activities, clinical supervision and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that assessment, support and treatment is tailored to meet individual consumer needs ensuring compliance with the Mental Health Act and other legislation pertaining to consumer care. This includes working collaboratively with all MHAOD staff, consumer support networks including private practitioners, non-government agencies and carers to set priorities and develop clinical pathways for consumers requiring further psychiatric interventions.
- Comply with the timely and accurate input and collection of consumer related demographic information, diagnosis, outcomes collections, KPI's and provision of service activity into appropriate electronic databases.
- Participate in developing and undertaking quality initiatives, clinical audits, clinical trials, and research.
