1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
2. Five Years postgraduate experience or greater (CMO Grade 2) or less than five years postgraduate experience (CMO Grade 1) and it is expected that when working nights the CMO will function at a Night In Charge level.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Participation in after-hours roster commitments and rotations to other emergency departments in the ISLHD
5. Sufficient skills knowledge and experience to practice as a safe and competent Emergency CMO. Post graduate Qualifications in or relevant to Emergency Medicine or significant experience in Emergency medicine. Including acting at the NIC
6. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to coordinate services across multiple providers
7. Good leadership and teamwork skills
8. Excellent time management and organisational skills
