About the opportunity:

Position: Nurse Unit Manager

Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary Full-time 05.05.2025 to 28.06.2025 (with the possibility of an extension up to 12 months)

Location: Medical Ward 3 / Medical Service Group / Townsville University Hospital

The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will facilitate and provide nursing leadership, support, clinical supervision and mentoring within the nursing team and provide nursing resource, education and research accountabilities and strategic management to facilitate the delivery of high quality, best practice care to clients of Medical Ward 3.

    • Salary range: $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (Nurse Grade 7)
    • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
    • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications / professional registration / other requirements

      • Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
      • Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. 
      • Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD: This is a VPD risk role.
      • Probation period may apply.
      • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
