Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialistto join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital.

We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Haematology! The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Clinical and Laboratory Haematology and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Haematology Department and Hospital as required.

The Staff Specialist in Clinical and Laboratory Haematology will participate in provision of high-quality haematology outpatient and inpatient services. They will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.

The Staff Specialist in Clinical and Laboratory Haematology will work collaboratively with the Local Pathology Director at the Concord Repatriation General Hospital to expand the diagnostic Haematology service and operate within the NSW Health Pathology Laboratory services in accordance with their Scope of Clinical Practice and as directed through the NSW Health Pathology’s Director of Clinical Operations, Local Pathology Director and NSW Health Pathology’s Operations Director East.

The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australia with recognised qualifications in Clinical and Laboratory Haematology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
