About the Role

RPAVirtual is a personalised service for people in our community - a new way of caring.

The Clinical Psychologist position is based in the Redfern Community Health Centre however it services the entire SLHD. Patients and their carers are supported both virtually and face to face in their home environment.

The Integrated Chronic Disease Palliative Care Team provides essential allied health services to palliative care patients in the community who have late stage degenerative and chronic conditions and progressive disability, specifically, COPD, CHF, Dementia and Neurodegenerative Diseases, spanning the last two years of life. The model of care provides much needed allied health support to enhance patients’ quality of life and support to remain at home as long as possible.

Ideal Candidate

  • Current registration with AHPRA and must hold a post graduate degree in clinical psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD) that provides eligibility for full membership of the APS and ACPA.
  • Experience and ability to identify opportunities and innovatively lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of service delivery incorporating continuous improvement, evidence based practice and research
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
