We have an exciting, fixed term temporary full opportunity for you to join our Patient Safety and Quality Branch located in Herston! You will facilitate the development and enhancement of Hospital and Health Service staff knowledge, skills and the application of quality improvement methods specifically related to sustained implementation of the QPTBPC recommendations.
The role
The purpose of this role is to provide specialist project management skills and clinical midwifery expertise that enables local implementation of Queensland Pre-term Birth Prevention Collaborative (QPTBPC) recommendations across Queensland Health. The QPTBPC project aims to reduce preventable preterm and early-term birth rates across Queensland Health by implementing evidence-based strategies aligned with the National Every Week Counts QPTBPC, including the provision of education to maternity service staff across the state.
The successful person
You will have:
- Experience at an advanced practice level in midwifery positions in various settings/models of care.
- Experience in the application of quality improvement / redesign methodology in complex maternity service settings.
- Proven experience in the management of large-scale complex projects through all phases of the project life cycle in a clinical environment applying project management and change management methodologies.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, planning and evaluation skills including the ability to effectively integrate related activities to achieve project deliverables and outcomes.
