About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join CAMHS as a Clinician, where you will be responsible for:
- Accepts accountability for the outcomes of clinical practice for children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues.
- Is responsible for addressing any inconsistencies between practice and policy.
- Ensures optimal consumer care, focusing on achieving the best possible health and recovery outcomes for consumers.
- Involves the provision of assessment, education, counselling, and group work, which are essential components of care.
- Involves consultation and liaison with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organizations to support consumer care.
- Uses clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in providing direction, support, orientation, and education to other staff members.
- Leads and participates in action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development within the practice setting.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The relevant degree/registration/qualification for your respective discipline
- Extensive clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines
