About the opportunity:
Position: Clinical Midwife Consultant - Regional Midwifery Coordinator
Vacancy: Permanent Part-time, 32 hours per fortnight.
Location: Women's and Children's Service Group, Townsville University Hospital
What's on offer?
Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value of up to $164,696 p.a.
- Salary range: $66.85 - $72.58 p.h. (+ applicable allowances/benefits)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About the role
- Provide specialist and advanced standard of clinical midwifery consultancy for Rural Maternity Services (RMS) within Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS).
- Provide advice and support for the delivery of evidenced based practices for RMS within Townsville HHS.
- Promote the delivery of safe, accessible, sustainable midwifery services throughout the RMS within Townsville HHS.
Role requirements
- Bachelor of Midwifery/Diploma of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
