An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse within the Inpatient Unit 4D Surgery & Critical Care Urology/Gynaecology. The Inpatient Unit 4D is a 28-bed acute inpatient unit with a subspecialty of Urology and Gynaecology. The Clinical Nurse’s (CN) role is to lead and deliver person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. The CN is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Specialist services include:
- Pre and post operative management of Urology patients, following procedures such as continuous bladder irrigation, radical retropubic prostatectomy, and cystectomy
- Pre and post operative management of Gynaecology patients, including care following hysterectomies and miscarriages
- Administration of chemotherapy agents
- Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Service Values.

Remuneration value up to $110 796 p.a., comprising salary rates $54.44 - $58.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (part time position, 64 hrs p.f.).
