About Us:
The Endoscopy Suite is a 1 procedure room department open Monday to Friday. We are a fast paced exciting area that provides Endoscopic procedures to patients from multiple units including Colorectal, gastroenterology and Respiratory. We work closely with the Day Treatment Centre, which is a 12 bed unit open Monday to Friday. Day Treatment Centre is a busy and exciting area that provides pre & post-operative care to day surgery patients of many different specialties. Within our Day Treatment Centre we also have a day medical unit and are offering the opportunity to work across all areas.
About The Role
Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) on a Part Time (40 hours per fortnight) ongoing basis, to work within Endoscopy located at Dandenong Hospital.
As an RN, you will be responsible for working with all hospital departments to improve flow and patient experience, duties will include but are not limited to:
- Anaesthetics & Recovery
- Assisting with procedures & Scope processing
- Assist in managing the day-to-day nursing operations of a busy Endoscopy/Day Treatment Unit
- Ensuring high standards of care are consistent
- Daily reporting and auditing
- Occupational Health & Safety

About You
We are currently seeking an RN with experience in Theatre and/or Endoscopy. We are a Monday to Friday unit operating between 7.30-6.00pm so have family friendly Rostering – No Nights! No weekends!
With a solid background in Anaesthetics & Recovery and Procedures you will understand how to work in a fast-paced environment, be a team player and strive to provide exceptional patient care experiences. With your well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, you are easily able to liaise and engage with others at all levels to deliver outcomes in a timely manner.
You are a compassionate individual who possesses a patient-centred approach with an excellent bedside manner. Positive outcomes for your patients is a priority while of course following a high standard in your clinical approach.
Above all, you are always absolutely committed to safe professional practice conducted within scope. You are an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles.

What you need:
- Previous Anaesthetics experience essential
- Previous Recovery experience essential
- Previous Endoscopy/Theatre experience essential
- Perioperative Post Grad desirable
- Current AHPRA registration
- Australian working rights
