About the role:
Join our dedicated team and provide expert dietary advice, education, and management support to diabetic inpatients and outpatients who meet service criteria. Working closely with nurses and medical officers, you will support patients across all age groups, from children to adults, with the goal of enhancing their daily lives by providing the knowledge and tools needed for effective self-management and reducing diabetes-related complications.
Patients are seen one-on-one or in group education sessions, with the service being provided Monday - Friday, face to face or via telehealth. You will also be required to be involved in specialised clinics, including paediatrics.
As part of the diabetes team, you’ll receive professional guidance from the Head of Discipline and operational support from the Nurse Unit Manager. Additional training and learning opportunities will be available through collaboration with diabetes educators and clinical case conferences.

You’ll be joining a small, dedicated team of nurses and a dietitian who provide expert advice and management of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, as well as diabetes in pregnancy.
About You:
We’re looking for a passionate and flexible professional who is able towork within a multidisciplinary team. You should be patient focused and have the ability to work with both children and adults.An understanding of diabetes technology, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring devices is also required.
Requirements:
- Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
Additional Information:
- To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
