Permanent part time opportunity to provide for clinical care in the diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of thoracic conditions in Core Thoracic medicine in patients of First Nation background attending Institute of Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) sites – Margate and Morayfield.

Permanent part time opportunity to provide for clinical care in the diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of thoracic conditions in Core Thoracic medicine in patients of First Nation background attending Institute of Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) sites – Margate and Morayfield.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • The Thoracic Physician will be recognised as having specialised knowledge in the fields of Core Thoracic medicine and First Nation health.
  • Providing outpatient care including referral triage, GP engagement and encouraging referrals across the continuum of medical providers.
  • Attendance to administrative duties relating to the proper functioning of the Thoracic Medicine Program.  This includes conformity with standard Prince Charles Hospital protocols and procedures and quality activities as requested.
