About the role

A position has become vacant for a health information manager (data manager) on the Colorectal unit. This is a full time position based at Dandenong Hospital, Monash Health. The role's main purpose is to collect, enter, update and correct data of various databases the Colorectal unit keeps for the purposes of audit, research and study. The main database to be managed is the Colorectal Cancer Audit Database which has extended dataset (XDS) and contributes to the minimum dataset (MDS) of the Binational Colorectal Cancer Audit (BCCCA) and Bowel Cancer Outcome Registry (BCOR) of Australia and New Zealand. This role works closely with the clinicians and researchers in the Colorectal unit to develop, upkeep and maintain any other databases used for research and audit purposes. 

 

About you

The applicant should have experience with data management, data collection, data entry, data reporting and analysis. Experience with research, biostatics, and use of statistical software (eg SPSS, R Stata) is desirable.

 

It is desired for the applicant to have a Degree in Health Information Management, science related field, health sciences, mathematics or statistics.
