- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Paediatric Cardiologist and/or overseas trained specialist pathway. Eligibility for membership of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) and Fellowship of the RACP and/or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist Award.
- Comprehensive advanced training in an internationally recognised centre of paediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery excellence.
- The ideal applicant will have advanced recent paediatric experience in the management and investigation of heart failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support, transplant, ICD and standard congenital heart cardiac disease. Applicants who may require further paediatric training in some of these areas are eligible to apply.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, sustainably, and harmoniously within a multidisciplinary cardiac services team.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, continuing education, quality research and academic pursuits, and quality improvement.
- Willingness to work as a full time clinician within the Cardiac Service at both Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick and the Children's Hospital at Westmead, and availability to participate in an on-call roster for both sites and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
