Fantastic 2 year opportunity for a Senior Clinician in plastering, casting and orthopaedic trauma.

Royal North Shore Hospital

What you'll be doing

Working with a Specialist Physiotherapist in trauma clinics providing urgent definitive care including casting, plastering, bracing, and orthopaedic management. Also providing other specialist casting across all areas at RNSH.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Full registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience with a minimum at a Level 2 Physiotherapist.
  2. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals and/or Allied Health Assistants.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
  4. Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current physiotherapy practice in plastering, casting and orthopaedic trauma. A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
