The Nursing Director plays a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and management for nursing and midwifery education and research within CQ Health. This position requires advanced clinical leadership and collaborative decision-making skills, offering operational guidance informed by nursing and health policy frameworks. The Nursing Director works across disciplines to uphold effective clinical governance while applying professional expertise in partnership with stakeholders.

About the role:

The Nursing Director - Education and Research provides strategic leadership and management for nursing and midwifery education and research and acts as a lead partner for interprofessional education and simulation across Central Queensland Health (CQHHS).

About you:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
  • A relevant post graduate qualification at Masters preparation level relevant to education and/or research is highly desirable for this position.
    • Extended experience in the utilisation of information and reporting systems (Learning Mangagement systems, DSS, WorkMAPP) would be highly regarded.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $198,959 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate of $87.94 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
