Addiction and Mental Health Nursing Leadership are looking for a Nursing Director - Logan Community and Nursing Strategy Implementation to join their team. Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS) provide inpatient, hospital-based and community mental health and community alcohol and drug services for all age groups at a number of campuses across Metro South Health. The service is committed to the provision of services that are patient centred and recovery focussed. This role provides contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for nursing services across MSAMHS.

About the Role
The Nursing Director (ND) provides contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for nursing services across Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS) within an expansive and/or complex environment. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, the role provides the coordination and responsibility for service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision. The position also shapes corporate and clinical governance in partnership with the MSAMHS Nursing Executive Team. The role works collaboratively and supports the Health Service priorities and the strategic direction and vision for the Nursing profession.
The role provides operational nursing leadership for the Mental Health/Permanent Casual pool.
In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, the Nursing Director provides high level professional leadership and a consistent approach to the coordination, integration and implementation of nursing strategic and operational priorities.
The Nursing Director will provide site specific professional nursing leadership and work with the local leadership teams to support the development, implementation an evaluation of nurse led programs and nursing strategic priorities. The role will also support specific service wide programs and, as part of the Nursing Executive will contribute to portfolios relating to nursing workforce, professional development, nursing excellence and quality improvement.
