Your Role:
As a Clinical Nurse/Midwife, you will provide expert nursing and/or midwifery services across a variety of health settings. This role is perfect for someone who is looking to progress from competent to proficient practitioner, with the added responsibility of supporting the Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager. You'll work closely with staff, provide guidance, and develop new practice initiatives while ensuring a seamless, person-centred approach to patient care.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide proficient, clinical nursing or midwifery care in the Emergency Department, with a focus on person-centred outcomes.
- Assist in managing day-to-day ward/unit responsibilities, including performance management, staffing, rostering, and supply planning.
- Lead and mentor a team of nurses and midwives, guiding them towards excellence in patient care.
- Play an integral role in promoting a learning culture by supporting education and development of staff at all levels.
- Participate in clinical research, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support change management and drive the adoption of best practices within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Nurse/Midwife with a current practicing certificate.
- A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, with a passion for leadership and staff development.
- Effective communication skills, and the ability to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and negotiate effectively.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to professional development and a desire to drive change in clinical practice.
