The Senior Dietitian - Women & Children is accountable to the Allied Health Service Manager, Women’s & Children’s Health, for the planning, development, co-ordination, implementation and evaluation of the women's & children's dietetic services provided to inpatients and outpatients.

About the role:

As the Senior Dietitian, duties for the role will include:

  • Provision of dietetic assessment and management of complex clinical cases including experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: general paediatrics, paediatric eating disorders, neonatal nutrition or paediatric diabetes.
  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operation of women's and children's dietetic services at FMC
  • Provide advice to management on professional service development, practice and redesign, in response to demand and client needs
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and training to other members of the team
  • Actively lead and participate in quality and safety activities that target safe and effective dietetic care

About you:

  • Experienced paediatric dietitian
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an independent manner with limited supervision
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Dietitian Association of Australia.
