Applications are invited from eligible Clinicians (Consultants / Clinical Academics / Visiting Medical Specialist) for the role of Medical Lead within the Surgery 1 Program
Overview of Role
The Medical Lead will contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, strategic and operational deliverables for their respective program.
The role will provide medical leadership and governance for all clinical work, and contribute to service planning, within the Surgery program.
The Medical Lead is accountable for the medical leadership and governance of the Surgery 1 Program within Central Adelaide Local Health Network.
Overview of Surgery 1 Program:
Consists of Oral Maxillofacial, Cleft & Craniofacial, Otolaryngology, Orthopaedics, Spinal, Dermatology, Plastics and Burns Surgical Units.
Essential Minimum Requirements:
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications for Consultant registerable as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
- Hold and maintain appropriate registrations with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
To Be Successful in this Role
Holding appropriate specialist qualifications for a Consultant, you will be registered as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia. You will bring extensive experience in senior clinical leadership, including the strategic planning and delivery of health services. Your strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate others will be key assets in this role. With a proven track record of guiding professional teams toward best-practice clinical outcomes, you will excel in fostering productive working relationships across a diverse range of healthcare professionals.

The role attracts a Divisional/Clinical Director managerial allowance payable as per the appropriate industrial instrument.
