Tell me more...The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) positions are permanent and offers the unique opportunity to work at Primary Health Care Centres (PHCC) within the Torres Strait. The CNC will assist in the development and provision of Acute and Primary Health Care Services, mentoring and supporting the primary health care clinicians throughout Northern TCHHS. As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you are the clinical lead in the primary health care setting, working in partnership with the Indigenous Health Workers, and providing primary health care and chronic disease management as well as emergency care. The Outer Island PHCCs work within the Torres Model of Care with operational management by the Indigenous health workforce.
