We have an exciting Fixed term temporary flexible full-time opportunity available to join our Private Health Regulation Unit located in Brisbane City! You will Participate in processing and assessment of applications for new private health facilities and changes to existing licensed private health facilities.
The role
The Clinical Compliance Officer is responsible for the licensing and compliance monitoring of private hospitals and day hospitals throughout Queensland.
The successful person
You will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of legislation, clinical standards, frameworks, safety, quality, risk management, accreditation processes and health care design principles.
- Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills essential to promote a safety and quality culture within the private sector, with respect to highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and analyse clinical care, incidents, and risks, and appropriately respond to reported trends to achieve private sector improvements and legislative compliance.
- An ability to apply evidence-based principles to identify, analyse and implementation of corrective action and strategies to improve performance of the private sector to ensure quality outcomes.
- Proven ability to provide expert, authoritative advice to senior management and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with a broad range of professionals and organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with legislation, Queensland Health standards, policies and agreements, support and facilitate action on corporate policies and programs, and behave in accordance with the Queensland Health values and code of conduct.
