Temporary part time opportunity to provide specialised project management skills and services to prepare for Verification as a Level 1 Trauma Centre, in accordance with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Verification Program

 

About the role

  • Leading the development and implementation of comprehensive project plans to ensure all requirements for Level 1 Trauma Centre Verification are met within designated timelines.
  • Collaborating with interprofessional teams, internal departments, and external partners to coordinate efforts, share knowledge, and drive alignment with RACS standards.
  • Supporting clinical, operational, and governance processes to meet the standards expected for Level 1 Trauma Centre Verification, including rigorous documentation, audits, and reporting.
  • Identifying and addressing gaps or risk in readiness, facilitating ongoing improvements in trauma care systems, and ensuring the sustainability of trauma service excellence post-verification.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • In collaboration with the Executive Director, RBWH and AND, Trauma Service undertake project management activities through developing a project plan to progress and manage deliverables in accordance with the project lifecycle.
  • Develop effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve expectations of the Trauma Verification project.
  • Develop, revise and update policy and procedure documents as required by RACS.
  • Coordinate the development of the project's research requirements by assisting with the development of research activities as required by RACS.
  • Lead the completion of the formal RACS documentation, including all speciality required services ensuring the appropriate evidence is demonstrated.
  • Assist the Trauma Service in developing strategies for delivering comprehensive interprofessional trauma education program to all staff involved in trauma care at RBWH, as well as other staff throughout Metro North Hospitals involved in the trauma system.
