1. Selection Criteria:

   1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
   2. At least three years' post graduate experience in public hospital service (or equivalent) with previous experience in General Surgery
   3. Sufficient skills, knowledge and experience to practice as a safe and competent surgical trainee
   4. Teamwork and leadership skills
   5. Excellent time management and organisational skills
   6. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
   7. Experience in teaching both undergraduate & postgraduate students
   8. Moderate computer skills
