The Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma are looking for a Permanent/Temporary Part time Staff Specialist, Orthopaedics position to join their team. Redland Hospital is the major health centre for Redland City and Brisbane’s southern bayside suburbs. We provide care in a number of specialties including general medicine and surgery, cardiology, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, renal dialysis and paediatrics.

About the Role
- Understand and role model behaviour consistent with the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service. That is, perform all duties with integrity and impartiality, whilst promoting the public good, having commitment to the system of government, and with accountability and transparency.
- Supervise training AOA trainee registrars, principal house officers, junior medical staff, and University of Queensland rotating medical students to ensure appropriate provision of patient care; contribute to the delivery of teaching within the hospital through guidance, seminars, tutorials, on-the-job and off-the-job training to clinical staff on their specialist area and demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development by attending relevant seminars and conferences to maintain up to date knowledge and practices and to maintain up to date college mandated requirements.
- The medical officer will initially perform the duties in accordance with the working arrangements set out in the medical officer's work roster included with the Role Description, which is subject to amendment from time to time by the service in accordance with operational requirements.
