- Salary: $227,591 to $299,884 (Pro-Rata) – MD2 – Part Time 0.4 FTE / Ongoing appointment
Overview:
- To provide specialist medical and strategic advice on infectious disease prevention, surveillance, and control, and outbreak management, to contribute effectively to teaching/training, research and epidemiology and evaluation; and to advise departmental Executive, Health Chief Executives Council (HCEC), the Minister and government.
- To represent CDCB and PHD on DHW and State committees and South Australia at national meetings on infectious diseases prevention, surveillance, and control, and outbreak management.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving ‘Unsupervised Contact with Vulnerable Groups’ is required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
- Registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration in public health medicine.
- Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine.
