About the opportunity:

Position: Clinical Director - Responding to Acute Deterioration After Hours Unit

Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary part-time 32 hours p.f. - 3 years

Location: Medical Education and Workforce Services, Corporate Services, Townsville University Hospital.

The Clinical Director of the Responding to Acute Deterioration After Hours (RADAH) Unit provides high level leadership, governance and medical education programs to the medical staff working with the RADAH Unit, as well as strategic direction for after hours care of patients at the Townsville University Hospital.

The RADAH Unit has been established to ensure that there is supervision, training and education of After-Hours Junior Doctors to support the safe care of Townsville University Hospital patients after hours

  • Salary range: $100.78 to $127.77 p.h. (L18 - L27)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
  • Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary)
  • Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • Qualified as a medical practitioner, qualifications in critical and/or acute care speciality areas and current registration and / or eligible for registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
