QEII Jubilee Hospital are looking for a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Emergency Department to join their team. The QEII Emergency Department offers immediate care for all emergency presentations excluding major trauma and obstetrics and consists of 16 acute bays including 3 paediatric bays, fast track, short term treatment area and 3 resuscitation bays. It is responsible for the triage, assessment, immediate treatment and disposition of acutely ill patients presenting to the hospital. QEII ED has close to 64,000 attendances annually and is well supported by a strong multidisciplinary team.

About the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of Emergency. The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the Director, Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Nurse Educator and Nursing Director Medical and wider emergency health care team to support the clinical unit in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of emergency.
The role will specifically support data quality improvement and quality improvement in line with business practice improvement principles within the Emergency Department utilising expertise with ieMR and FirstNet. The role will link with other information technology systems to support best practice and data quality and quality improvement within the department.
