The Division of Surgery are looking for a Assistant Nursing Director - Surgical Ambulatory Services to join their team. The Division of Surgery provides comprehensive tertiary and quaternity specialty inpatient, ambulatory, outpatient and perioperative services in a large variety of specialty units at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. These services provide specialised multidisciplinary care to patients and their families within the Division, utilising advanced practice models of care that result in optimal patient outcomes and cost-efficient services.

About the Role

  • Responsible for the achievement of operational and strategic performance targets, evaluations and outcomes in line with operational plans, service targets and national and state benchmarks.
  • Accountable for coordination of services and standards and application of corporate and clinical governance for Division of Surgery Surgical Ambulatory services.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of contemporary nursing theory and practice and innovative models of care; linking models with monitoring to ensure best practice and implementing strategies to ensure nurses work to full scope of practice.
