About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Speech Pathology team at Maitland Hospital. Inpatient areas include medical wards, surgical wards, ICU, ED and Special Care Nursery.
This is a senior generalist position responsible for applying advanced reasoning to clinical situations as well as supporting more junior team members in their clinical practice. The role will also support the Site Senior Speech Pathologist in caseload management and prioritisation.
About You:
We are looking for someone with extensive clinical experience, as well as the skills and enthusiasm to share your knowledge with the speech pathology team. Videofluoroscopy swallow study experience is desirable. You will have excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate changing clinical priorities throughout the day and week.
You will be able to work with a high level of independence, as well as in a team, allowing you to become a valued addition to the collaborative and supportive speech pathology team.
To support the growth of the hospital, there is a strong preference for the successful applicant to work regular weekend shift(s).
