  1. Eligibility for Australian Association of Social Workers membership with significant post graduate experience in social work practice with families and children and/or in health context.
  2. Extensive specialist knowledge of the issues facing families in the relevant clinical area coupled with advanced skills in therapeutic counselling and casework in working with children and their families in the relevant specialty.
  3. Advance practice skills in a variety of social work interventions/modalities which include psychosocial assessment, counselling, group work and community engagement.
  4. Excellent demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrated skills and experience in clinical supervision, leading a team, education provision, service planning, the development of models of care, and leading and evaluating quality improvement activities.
  6. Ability to build partnerships with key stakeholders to optimise outcomes for children and their families.
  7. Participation in the after hours On Call Social Work Service.
  8. Competent computer skills and ability to adapt to new IT systems.
