The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Registered Nurse (Immunisation Program Nurse)'s to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Administer vaccines to infants, children, and adults
- Deliver immunisation services in schools and communities
- Ensure compliance with cold chain management protocols
- Engage with stakeholders to promote vaccine awareness
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Base salary ranging from $51.33 - $65.84 per hour
About Us
The Gold Coast Public Health Unit is aligned with Nursing Midwifery and Patient Experience
Directorate in the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. The Public Health Unit delivers specialist communicable
disease control, environmental health, immunisation and epidemiological services to protect and promote the health of the community. The unit manages, investigates and responds to factors which cause illness, injury and disease, and has a role in monitoring, enforcing and public health legislation, undertaking health risk assessments, responding to public health incidents and events and delivering immunisation services.
The Public Health Unit delivers services at an individual and population level.
