  1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist - Paediatric infectious diseases, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways
  2. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and / or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award
  3. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Paediatric infectious diseases at the role delineation of the service
  4. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
  6. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement
  7. Commitment to improvements in quality and safety
  8. Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time
