Senior Doctor/SMO - Non Specialist

  • Located 697 km north west of Brisbane, this rural town is an Aboriginal community and has approximately 1,019 residents
  • This MPS offers services including emergency, acute, inpatient and outpatient with Specialist clinics including respiratory, cardiac and paediatrics
  • Direct economy, home base return - capped @ $1500.00 or mileage @ 0.88c p/km, home base return (if suitable - pre approved). Solo – self-contained accommodation. $50 p/day car allowance. No taxi’s reimbursed.

A Central QLD hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in General Practice from 31/01/2025 to 25/05/2025.

SHIFTS:

Hours: 0800 – 1700 daily
31.01.25 – 21.02.25
24.02.25 – 02.03.25
22.03.25 – 04.04.25
07.04.25 – 13.04.25
28.04.25 – 16.05.25
19.05.25 – 25.05.25


ON CALL:
1700 – 0800 daily and
0800 – 0800 weekends
Fatigue management between 2300hrs to 0700hrs – cat 3,4,5s are managed through RSQ. Other fatigue also managed through RSQ if attended cat 1or 2 through night. Rockhampton hospital SMO and specialties support by phone if required. Senior RIPERN nurses often available to support model.
