Permanent part time and full time opportunity to provide 24/7 advanced clinical expertise and clinical care coordination of patients presenting to the Caboolture Hospital (CABH) Emergency Department (ED).

About the role

Permanent part time and full time opportunity to provide 24/7 advanced clinical expertise and clinical care coordination of patients presenting to the Caboolture Hospital (CABH) Emergency Department (ED).  This role acts as the central point of clinical and professional coordination for ED nursing staff on each shift and is responsible for facilitating, and driving patient care, transition, and safety through the Emergency Department. The position is also responsible for ED after-hours nursing allocations.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem solving skills and expert clinical judgement in relation to the Emergency Department.
  • May work across professional and organisational boundaries to influence health service and/or professional outcomes in relation to area of expertise.
  • Responsible for the professional development of self and others utilising contemporary practice in the delivery of improved standards of care.
  • Support the Nursing Director by identifying inconsistencies between practice and policy, and work in collaboration with the interprofessional team to implement changes.
