What you will bring to the role

1. Current Registered Nurse/Midwife Division 1 National Registration (AHPRA) with a minimum of 3 years’ post registration clinical experience working with child and family health, youth health and/or psychosocial support, and a post registration qualification (Grad Cert minimum) related to these speciality areas of nursing, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by NBMLHD.
2. Demonstrated understanding of and experience working with children and youth health including marginalised and at-risk groups.
3. Demonstrated capacity to engage with families to address various health and mental health concerns for children and youth health.
4. Demonstrated ability to work within an interagency context, with an emphasis on relationship building, service delivery, quality of care and team cohesion with an ability to identify and improve opportunities to enhance integration of client's care.
5. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including, verbal and written forms and advanced skills in using electronic communication modes; together with an ability to negotiate and problem solve, and the capacity to influence health professionals.
6. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise technology systems within a variety of applications and commitment to undertake further training as required.
7. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the provision and development of clinical practice by utilisation of evidence-based research with a demonstrated understanding of current NSW Ministry of Health Policies and National and State Standards in relation to children and youth health.
8. Current driver's licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
