Whanau Ora Navigator – Six Month Parental Leave Cover

About the role: 

As a navigator, you will work closely with Pacific families in Auckland, empowering them to achieve their goals in health, education, economic development and culture.  This is a dynamic, full-time role (40 hours per week) that combines community engagement and flexible working.  Based at our Manurewa clinic, your responsibilities will include supporting families, accessing resources, and promoting the Whanau Ora approach – a family centred model designed to unlock Pacific communities’ potential. 

It’s an out and about role so duties will take you around your region from your base.   

About You: 

We are looking for an enthusiast to join our Whanau Ora Navigator Team.  You will:  

  • Value the Whanau Ora approach and its principles. 
  • Be able to engage effectively with Pacific families.  
  • Be enthusiastic about supporting positive outcomes for Pacific families. 
  • Know how to access and navigate community resources. 
  • Work flexibly and adapt to varied situations. 
  • Have Pacific language capability (preferred but not essential). 
  • Embody The Fono’s values and approach to community care. 
  • Preferably hold a Registered Social Worker qualification.
