About the role: 

As a Registered Social Worker (RSW), this is a great opportunity to develop your career and make your mark within New Zealand’s largest Pacific health and social services organisation.  We are keen to get in touch with RSWs who have the right blend of expertise and enthusiasm. This 40 hour per week fixed term position for 6 months covering Parental leave is based in Henderson.  It's a special opportunity for a strengths based RSW looking for an exciting new role.   

Family Start is a free service for parents and caregivers who are facing challenges with parenting. The Family Start Worker’s role is to support families to become more intentional with their parenting to improve their children’s overall social, education and health outcomes.   

About you: 

You will have a real wish to make a difference in your community with young families and have the right expertise and have experience in working with Pacific.  Key Requirements:  

  • Will be registered or working towards social worker registration 
  • Value the Family Start approach to working with families 
  • Know how to access community resources for families 
  • Computer literate 
  • Culturally competent with Pacific 
  • Have a full NZ Drivers Licence
