Rehabilitation Services are looking for a Nursing Director – Rehabilitation Services to join their team. The Nursing Director (ND) provides contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for the RS within an expansive and/or complex environment.

About the Role

The Rehabilitation Services (RS) within the Division of Allied Health and Rehabilitation (DAHR) consists of inpatient, outpatient and community-based rehabilitation and persistent pain services with a strong person-centred and interdisciplinary team focus. The RS provides services for people with acquired brain injury (ABI), amputation, persistent pain, spinal cord injury (SCI) and other disability. The DAHR is managed by the Divisional Executive that consists of the Divisional Director, Medical Chair, Nursing Director, Allied Health Directors and the Business and Performance Manager.

The Nursing Director (ND) provides contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for the RS within an expansive and/or complex environment.  In collaboration with the DAHR Divisional Director and the PAH Director of Nursing, the role provides the coordination and responsibility for service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.  The position also shapes corporate and clinical governance in partnership with the Princess Alexandra Hospital executive team. The role works collaboratively and supports the Health Service priorities and the strategic direction and vision for the Nursing profession.
