  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) andChild and Family Health qualification-Graduate Certificate OR willing to complete within 12 months of appointment.
  2. Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to Child and Family Nursing
  3. Demonstrated understanding of the needs of children and young people in OOHC and the impact of abuse, trauma and neglect on children and young people
  4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with clients, consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of case management and experience working in a multidisciplinary, multiagency framework and the ability to network and liaise with a variety of agencies
  6. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  7. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
  8. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
